Why Production Unplugged?

The APA’s 2024 industry report, What Clients Want from Advertising Production Today, highlighted a critical shift in the industry: brands want closer, more meaningful relationships with production companies. Traditional structures often create barriers that slow down collaboration, limit creative freedom, and make it harder to find the right partners.

Production Unplugged was designed to change that.

This initiative is a game-changer for the advertising production industry. It’s about cutting out the middle layers, fostering direct connections between brands and production talent, and creating a more transparent, efficient, and creative ecosystem.

What to Expect

Unlike many industry events, Production Unplugged is not an awards show — it is a space dedicated entirely to building relationships, sharing knowledge, and driving real change in the industry.

The initiative kicks off with an inaugural event on May 1, 2025, in London, bringing together over 400 industry leaders, marketers, and production experts for a full day of networking, knowledge - sharing, and creative collaboration. This is the start of something big — a shift in how brands and production companies work together, ensuring better partnerships, smoother workflows, and more groundbreaking creative output.
